I'm a climate scientist with a PhD in Antarctic climate change.

 

AKA a professional cloud nerd, climate modeller and polar enthusiast.

But I'm also a multi-award winning climate communicator.

​

I strongly believe that scientists - and especially those of us working on existential challenges like climate change - have a duty to communicate our work. Climate change affects everyone, so everyone should be able to understand the science.

 

I'm a regular expert voice in broadcast news media, present and feature in documentaries, and run a successful science YouTube channel: Dr Gilbz.​

My passion for the environment started young, and I have been campaigning for better climate action since I was a teenager.

Beyond science, I boxed for 12 years, competing nationally and internationally for Islington Boxing Club. I have coached recreational and competitive amateur boxing since 2016 and am an accredited Level 2 coach with England Boxing.
